Through the generosity of Northern California homebuilders, trade partners, financial institutions, sponsors and the public, HomeAid mobilizes members of the building industry to donate labor, materials and expertise to build and remodel shelters. We partner with the service providers such as Shepherd’s Gate and Catholic Charities East Bay who own and operate the facilities. These service providers concentrate on social services to help the residents transform their lives and move towards self-sufficiency, such as education and job skills training, physical and emotional support, and more.
HomeAid rallies volunteers from the community to assist with fundraising and donation programs such as Shelter Care Days, Essentials for Young Lives Drive, Holiday Toy Drive and Care Kit Donations!
HomeAid Northern California has completed 43 projects in the Bay Area with 5 more underway. We have constructed over $22,000,000 in real estate value and provided $10,000,000 in donations to these projects.
HomeAid's Tiny Homes Project is complete with the construction of 6 tiny homes for people experiencing homelessness.
If HomeAid Northern California offers to help your nonprofit build or remodel a housing project, Rev. Dana Bainbridge of San Jose has some advice for you.
